In 1996, Marti established University of California's Electronic Publishing Instructional Curriculum (EPIC) to explore and harness emerging digital communications for education, and has contributed to work for the California Deserts project, Intel-sponsored Exhibits, the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and many interactive CD-ROM projects. She has also served as programmer for Stanford University.
